Simeon Says Email Newsletter - August Update

The election period is now in full swing! You may have met me or a member of my local Pakuranga team on your doorstep over the last few weeks as we hit the ground running in our effort to change the government and get New Zealand back on track on 14 October.

In this email newsletter, I will update you on some key issues affecting our area, including:

  • Get NZ Back on Track Public Meeting with National Party Leader Christopher Luxon
  • National's newly announced policy - Transport for the Future
  • Volunteer for our local campaign!

If you would like to get in touch with me to discuss any of these issues further, or if you are in need of assistance, please don't hesitate to call 09 572 0000 or email me at [email protected].

Get New Zealand Back on Track Public Meeting

with National Party Leader Christopher Luxon and MP for Pakuranga Simeon Brown

On Monday 28 August I will be hosting a public meeting in Pakuranga alongside National Leader and MP for Botany Christopher Luxon, as part of National's Get NZ Back on Track tour.

This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from Christopher as to how a National government he leads would take our country forward. Over the last six years, Labour has made a mess of just about everything they have touched, with our nation faring worse in almost every category than when they took charge. It is vital we see a change in government on 14 October to ensure better outcomes for all New Zealanders.

The details for this public meeting are as follows:

  • When: Monday 28 August at 12:00pm
  • Where: Howick & Pakuranga Community Sports Centre, 78 Bells Road, Pakuranga, Auckland

I hope to see you there!

Transport for the Future - National's latest policy announcement

Last week, I announced National's Transport for the Future policy, which will build the transport infrastructure we so desperately need so Kiwis can get where they want to go faster and safer.

The projects outlined in this policy will cut congestion, provide more low emission transport options in support of our climate change goals, and create a more productive and resilient transport network that drives economic growth to boost incomes and unlock land for thousands of houses.

You can read the policy in full at our website, including the specific projects we will be prioritising, by clicking here. You can also see a snapshot on the map below:

Volunteer for our campaign in Pakuranga

As election day draws closer, we will be ramping up our campaign activities here in Pakuranga to get out National's message and ensure we return a strong result. We rely on local volunteers to help with these efforts, whether it be delivering pamphlets, putting up signs around the electorate, or helping with the many other tasks our campaign involves.

If you're not already a volunteer and would like to help out, please let us know by filling in the form found by clicking here. If you have any questions about what volunteering for a campaign is like, please get in touch with our campaign team at [email protected].

As always, thank you for your ongoing support!

Kind regards,

Simeon Brown
